Su-spin blades
I ordered some of these to try out, but wondered if anyone else had fished with them and if they had any luck. I am thinking of riggin' them with a superfluke jr. or other similar jerkbait

I threw this one a little bit last year: http://buckeyelures.com/ditch_blade.shtml
It is similar and I put a fluke on it. It looks a little more like a walleye bait to me, but I plan to throw it some more this year and test it out. I didn't have any luck before. Edit: Just saw that is made by Buckeye Lures as well. I like their Mop Jigs too. |

Haven't tried them, but Edwin Evers came in second at the Classic held in Pittsburg a couple of years back using them, so they do work. Roadrunners have been catching fish for years.

Jason, I saw that one in a bass magazine yesterday. I'll have to find the article to see who used it, but he threaded a fluke-type soft jerkbait on it and caught a bunch. I'll post details maybe tonight once I get home.

We use them down here in Georgia. I found out about them about two months ago. Apparently these Georgia boys have been using them for a while. The favorite down here is called the Fish Head Spin with a single willow leaf blade. Most folks attach the regular Zoom Fluke in Pearl White, Albino Shad, or Pearl and Ice. Another favorite trailer on these is the Pearl White Zoom Grub (Curl up). Caught fish on it yesterday on Lake Lanier Working it down a long clay and rock point. Mainly caught Spotted bass. On Saturday the guys that won the tournament I was fishing caught a 6.98 LMB on the first cast of the day, in the back of a shallow pocket on a Fish Head Spin with a Pearl White Fluke.

Found the article in the May edition of BassMaster, page 40, in case anybody else wants to take a peek. Cliff Pace (from Mississippi, I'll have you know!) uses a white Su-Spin with a pearl or blueback herring V&M Pork Shad soft jerkbait. Very Fluke-ish, with a split tail. I like the looks of it, myself.
