Default fishfinder?

the wife got me a new humminbird 565 fishfinder for fathers day and there are so many ways to set it up already havee a humminbird 100 on the trolling motor. should i mount the new one to the t motor and get rid of the old. or should i transom or hull mount it so it can be used all the time and keep the old one on the trolling motor too?

I have a 565 on both the TM and the console. I'd go with putting it on the console-that's the one you will be using to find cover/structure when running or idling looking for it.

yep, reb nailed it. you need a good unit on the console...trust me you will waste so much time trolling around looking for structure...not fun.
