Default Won Idaho FLW State Qualifier

I went back to Idaho to fish the state qualifer, on Coeur d'Alene Lake and won. I prefished all week mon-fri, and then got big fish on saturday with a 3.29lb largie on a frog I won a Shimano Crushal rod. So now I'm going up to Pitsburgh for the nationals, on 1 of the 3 rivers up there. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do or use I'm thinking its going to be a finesse tournament

Quick question.....Did you win a State Qualifier or the State Championship?

I was on Coeur d'Alene Lake last summer at this time. It's a beautiful lake with very little fishing pressure. Did you catch one off of the floating green? That would have been very cool!!!

I think its the same thing but its for FLW, and the north end of the lake is nothing comapered to the south end and the chains. I fished in tompson on the bog and caught a couple.all my fish came out of the south on crazy leg chigger craw and 5in Heavyweight Fat sinkworm, Did you fish in the Divisionals last year?

I live on one of the Three rivers. My best luck is with spinnerbaits and chatterbaits with a trailer. I do good on jigs but mostly at night. The bassmasters was won on a suspending bait. KVD won fishing around bridge piers. Good luck if the water is muddy and fast. Look for eddies and cast upriver. A lot of guys have good luck with topwaters early in the morning. Be prepared to catch a lot of dinks. My biggest so far is a smallie around 3 lbs. Now if you could get upriver on the Yough which flows into the Mon you could catch some good size smallies. To do that you would need a jet motor.

What crankbaits do u use up there, and like what kind of color shemes. I'm going to load up on cranks, jerkbaits, and finesse type lures. Do u ever use like a split shot rig, shaky head or wacky worm? Do u use like small spinnerbaits too or normal size? Thanks

The State Qualifiers lead up to the State Championship. You have to place in the Qualifier to make the Championship. I've had guys, I sponsor a junior club, make the State Championship, but not win, for both FLW and BASS. If you won the Championship then congratulations and good luck on the next tournament!!!

No I was visiting my sister who lives in Spokane, WA and we made the drive over to the lake. Ate a couple burgers, walked the worlds largest dock, and took a boat trip around the lake. They had the big triathalon that weekend that I was there.
