Sept 12-13 Report
We had some trouble with the tides and also my jet boat engine. But we caught some nice fish and filled the cooler with perch. Saturday was very hot when the wind stopped as the storm was pushing in. Sunday in my big boat I was on the fish that just would not bite. The wind kicked up and I was chilled from the cold winds. Oddest weather I have fished in, in my life.
Nice hybrid was caught. Capt Mike Labor Day weekend was epic. Monday though, the fishing slowed dramatically. This weekend was like last Monday. We caught fish but, man did we work hard. Capt Mike and I switched crews on Sunday. These guys can fish. Expertly placed flies and precision spinning reel casting. It was a pleasure having them on board and I look forward to fishing with them again next year. Not a lot of pictures taken on this trip. Here are a couple. Why do we like the bowfin so much...? Capt Dave
