found a new fishing hole!!
found a new lake no more than a mile north from my house, the sad thing is ive lived here almost 11 yrs and this is this first ive known about it... so i figured id give it a shot... though i didnt catch anything, the fish were def. active and had a ton of hits on my spinnerbait.. i think they were bumping the line more than they were trying to eat the bait thats why i didnt land anything, but some of the hits were heavy so i know theres gotta be some decent Bass in there.. but other than that the lake is super super clean. water is kinda dingy but at least you dont get 5 lbs of seaweed everytime you bring in your bait. plus the park district put plastic swans in certain areas of the water to keep away those pain in the *** Canadian geese so no need to worry about stepping in goose **** ever 3 feet ( i really cannot stand those things) gonna hit it again tomarrow and as soon as I nab something ill post up some pix..

Sounds interresting Jim. Let us know what happens. Maybe add a trailer hook to your spinnerbait for short strikers. Good luck.

+1 on the trailer hook. Also if you can, keep another rod handy with a worm, lizard, or other soft plastic rigged. If you get a strike on the spinnerbait but don't hook up, drop the spinnerbait rod and throw the worm right where you got the bump. That bass is hungry, he just missed a meal, and he's mad.
