BPS Carbonlite Drag Upgrade?
I have a question for you reel techs here... I am wanting to upgrade the drag on my BPS PQ and Carbonlite reels. I am going to go with the Carbontex washers, from smoothdrag.com. Which sizes do I need to order? I know the gears will switch up with gears from the Revo line, so do I need the Washer kit for the Revo Premier, or the Revo STX? I see both of them listed on the smoothdrag website. Thanks for any help!
Ryan

It's the stx kit you want, because it comes with 3 washers. The premier kit is only one washer i believe. Then also, you need to decide if you want to also change the washer that sits under the main gear. That washer is usually a harder material than the ones in the drag stack above. On some reels it's the same. I think the PQ has just a small wahser of the same teflon as the bigger ones there. Anyway, I replaced that washer in all my revos as well. Just tell Dawn at smoothdrag that you want the 3 washers for a revo plus the 4th washer to go under the main gear, she will know exactly what you are refering to.

Thanks for the quick reply, Kevin! I will be sure to get a hold of here this week and get a few sets ordered.

Carbontex washers are great. When I first got a Fuego baitcaster it ruined my love of my Pfluegers. The Daiwa was soooo much smoother. When I got my Carbontex for my Pfluegers it brought my happiness back. To me my two drag Pflueger was almost as smooth as my 7 drag Daiwa!
