Oh boy, I sure hope I'm not broke when the older versions go on sale. I'd love to pick up a couple SX models!

Nice to see they are a lot lighter.

The older models are all on sale at BPS... SX are $129, Winch and STX are $159 and Premiers are $199.

As for the new reels... they lightened them up so much... and to me it looks like they got rid of the old reliable dual brakes. The new premier has C6 carbon sideplates, and the ICVB brake system and is only 5.8 oz. Basically a MGX with just a touch more weight.

Also, the new STX has an 8.0:1 gear ratio!

Not sure if they are making them better or not. As for now I am getting as many of the current versions as possible. They are just so smooth and bullet proof.

Ryan

Ryan what's the ipt of that 8.0:1? If I was buying I'd grab the STX HS. Love that reel.

That's crazy, I didn't notice the 8.0:1 gear ratio on the STX. It wasn't that long ago when breaking the 7:1 mark was crazy fast. I'm curious as to what the ipt is too, obviously that's really what matters. I'm a big fan of the eva knobs too.

I love the looks of the new reels. The SX has always been my favorite Revo model (well it and the Winch) and I am happy to see it is quite a bit lighter.
