A couple from today.
Had a day off, so I thought I would load the boat up and head over to a small lake not far from the house. I knew it was going to be hot, but I never expected it to be as bad as it was. The temp was 98, with a heat index of 110, and the wind was blowing 10-20 with gusts of over 30. So needless to say I did not stay long. I started fishing about 7:30 and finished about 10:30, I managed to catch 6 fish, with these two being the biggest. The larger one weighted in at 3.4, and the small one was 2.0. Not bad fish for such a hot day.

Nice catch, I would take a 3 pounder in 100 degree heat anytime.

Thanks, the bass poplulation in that lake is not great, so I always practice catch and release with bass. I do like to eat a catfish or crappie now and then though. |

I used to spend a lot time working in Wichita. What lake was that?
