Your "go to" bait?
First post here, might aswell word it in the form of a question. Pretty simple question at that.
So lets hear em. Favorite bait (style, name, color, possible scent). I guess I will start it off. Strike King 3.5" Coffee Pro Model Tube Green Pumpkin. By the way. Love the forums. Kevin seems like a great guy. Looking forward to alot of conversations and help. Cheers |

First of all welcome aboard, knot. I would say that my go to bait this year was a wacky rigged yamamoto senko, watermellon w/black flake. It cost me a lot of money to fish them, but I did catch a lot of fish.

My favorite bait this past year has been the Strike King's 3/16oz. Black Bitsy Bug Mini Jig followed with a black Zoom Super Chunk Jr.
Welcome aboard, and I am also looking forward to your input and insight. |

I recently tallyed my end-of-the-year stats. My #1 bait was a Rapala DT-6. Regarding color, there was a tie. The DT-6 shad and DT-6 parrot caught the same # of fish.

I like the DuPont C4 crank bait with the one way cast feature and built in ignition system.
It really brings them up quick. I jest: Topwater anytime with a Zippin Ziggy. Capt Mike

a jig is my confidence bait, a 1/2oz football jig is my favorite. favorite color would either be missouri craw or peanut butter and jelly.

Depends on season, water temps, flow and turbidity.
Rule of thumb winter - tube spring - stix bait summer - fluke fall - jerk bait |

Well I got off to a late start this year.A Strike King red eye shad in chrome/black back. My second go to was a Excalibur Xr50 in foxy mama color.
I really think the Excaliber will outfish the red eye, I was using the red eye more because of the toothy critters, being they are alot cheaper in price.Ivan |
