Guys,

Was looking at this boat on the internet and was wondering what everyone thought of it. I didn't see a price listed and would like to know that as well if anyone happend to know.

That is the boat one of our friends has, 2008. It is frickin' HUGE!!! I parked my 285 next to it and mine looked like a dinghy. The rod lockers will hold 50 rods each, at least. He is on their pro staff so if you are considering one let me know and I'll see if he can call you.
BTW, the sticker on the demo boat he has is $53k, not sure if that includes electronics but it has a 250 ProXS.

The 210 is an amazing boat and you can maneuver on the front "landing pad" w/o stomping on your rods.

I want a WIDE frontal area in a boat. I have NO use for the narrow-beam, needle-nosed, go-too-damned fast, etc., brands that attract guys that want to race more than fish.
I want speed in the 70s if needed in an emergency and I want ride, overall comfort, space, storage, a rock-stable casting platform, build quality, and customer service above all.
If the Champ 210 came equipped with a catapult the NAVY would be buyin' them!

a buddy of mine has this exact boat (with a 250 pro xs). it is the sweetest boat that i have ever been in. fishes really comfortable, runs smooth, and flat out flies. lots of storage and a huge front deck are some of the other upsides. the only thing i don't like is that since the boat is so heavy (mostly why it rides so well) you can't chage directions very quickly with the trolling motor (and it is a 100lb thrust motorguide digital). i can change directions with the trolling motor a lot faster in my boat and this took me a while to get the hang of while running his trolling motor but i am sure you would get the hang of it over time. one thing that i used to hate about champions is how the nose of the boat was almost squared off looking, but after being in one you soon realize that gives you a place to stand and get a little higher for sight fishing so it may not be the sexiest looking nose of a boat but it is probably the most functional.

You nailed it! Fishability is paramount, all else being equal.
About that bow...When I encountered a Champ 210, it was at a (no sh-t?) gas station. As I chatted with the owner and tried to control my drooling every time I so much as glanced at the boat, I squatted and looked up at the bow. I swear, I could hear "Anchors Aweigh" and "Pilots, man your planes." Of course, I'd had three Martinis with lunch.
The ONLY thing I don't like re Champs is the graphics, but at least they aren't so weird as on the Chargers...another GREAT boat!

Champions have ALways been #3 on my list if I buy a new boat. The older I get the closer to the top that the Champ gets to the top as far as being #1 on my want list. NO BOAT and I mean NO BOAT handles like a Champ.......not even my beloved Bullets can run with the Champs in ALL weather like a champ can. They turn like there attached to rails and when shut down to fast NO water in the boat. The big factor I love about them is I have had 7 spinal surgeries all major to.......hell I aint supposed to be working and I am still doing construction.............they ride like a dream in ALL water .

I too noticed the nose of the boat, especially in Lancer article/link. Don't like the look (almost looks tri-hull) but that boat looks like it handles well. Big, wide beam - SWEET!

That boat is only under $60K with a 250 Pro XS. If you think about it, all the amenities that furnish it make it worth its price. If you're gonna buy a rig, do it right. After you reach $40K and above, is the extra $20K really gonna make a difference!?!

Crazy me, I thought $5,000 was a lot to spend on a boat.

So you pay 60K for the boat, then how much for the gas? Not to mention the tow vehicle. And when something goes wrong, you already have all that money in it, you arent fixing it with duct tape.

Pretty soon you are looking at enough money, that if you invested well - especially someone your age - you could retire in 30 years a millionare.

And to think I've put maybe $800 in my boat and I can outfish %95 percent of bass anglers from it.

But you are right on about fishing skill trumping boat size and speed most of the time, especially on small waters and no-gassies lakes.
