its a lame excuss to poke fun at your "anticipated success" in the lure business cranky, in other words bomber may as well quit making lures, cus you're the "new kid in town"

lol this aint even close to an anticipated success. its an art project. took me around 45 minutes in total. youll just have to see the wooden lure. im trying to do the paint job as little at a time as i can so that i am fresh new for each detail. this would be my warmup... but it still does look kinda cool.

that is the easest type of bait you can make now try something a little more complex that is how you get good at tackle making

Man Poppers seem the hardest to me due to the need for carving out the mouth. Try that on a 2x4 no less get something circular. Got a dowel im using right now. Not sure if its gonna be a popper or a spook type bait. Will see what it turns out to be.

Or thinking of maybe a gotcha plug design!

what do you use to carve with? and what method? i have an x-acto woodcarving set with a big gauge blade, and since i make lures with 2 halves, carving the mouth out wuld be no problem for me

Ah ha thats teh trick! Two halves. But to match them would be pretty hard. Gonna have to keep up the work. Oh well.
