Fall Forum Tournament
Hey lets try to get this next tournie going, and this time maybe we can reward Kevin for his gifts to last tournaments winners, maybe send him a gift certificate or something along these lines, its not fair to depend on him sending gifts out of his own pocket ..
I would like to see it in Sept sometime, for a couple of reasons, hunting gets going in Oct and also some down right rainy cold days, plus everyone here is still in the fishing mode Also, any complaints on how the last tournament was handled? Any changes need to be made?? any suggestions are welcomed! I would like to use Mid Sept...usually after Labor Day the big lakes really dont get all that much action from boaters and jet ski's, it gives the average joe angler that much needed quiet time on the lake, plus alot of wimps call it quits on boating in general around here after the Labor day, they put up the boat and have other activites etc. SO let me know what ya all think about the above If we have it in Sept the 9-10-11th is open or 16-17-18th is open Also, on a side note, anyone interested in a side jackpot for big bass? either money, prize or just good ol recognition huh.... any ideas are welcomed, and nothing is set in stone yet, so put on the old thinking caps , and LETS HERE from ya' all |

the lake or pond of your choice, no entry fee
you have to measure the lenght and girth of each fish, the bass has to be a minimum of 12 inches, and if you can a picture with the tape must be provided, however if you dont have a camera we can trust you Its a 6 hour tournament from ONE day, not the accumulation of several days fishing We have a formula on here to prove lenght x girth, you'll need a string or tape to measure the middle area of the bass, most times we just take the length. Plus a side note in your post telling us how and when and what you caught each bass on, for others to learn from, especially the weather conditions .etc |

Alright JB I'll make you a deal. I have a 2 day tourney 9/10-9/11, and 9/17-9/18 but any other weekend or even a weekday if I know in advance enough, I'll come fish the tourney with you and Denny if you are up to it. The place of your choosing, and the times of your choosing. I will bring my little boat, and we will have a FISH-OFF. I promise not to bring any fish already in the livewell, as long as you promise not to have any tied up somewhere LOL. I would like to fish with you guys, if it's workable. I will be tied up(hopefully 9/19-9/23), so I can't plan that week. Anyone else want to join in(tackletester, creekgeek, strap?) they can ride with me. We could fish anywhere from Indianapolis to your place, if you guys want to come to the coal pit we'll fish there. I promise I'll leave some of the 12" bass for you and Denny.

I don't know who would do it but I think it would make things a little easier if there was a sticky post that stayed towards the top with a small spreadsheet or something simple with the results. Just an idea.

I've never did this. Is this a tournament online? So we just need to take pics, if possible, of our fish, and send them in? I would love to get in on this. What day will all of this be taking place? Are we allowed to fish in whatever lake or pond we want? Is it a team Tourny? Fill me in guys, Im new.

Stream, or river, pond or lake, or your fav. bathtub lol
Yes you must measure the fish and show the tape up to the fish, then use a photo service like www.imageshack.com or others, or ask for help on here and we'll post them for you. You can fish alone or with others , however only YOUR fish will be allowed to be entered, they must be a minimum of 12 inches, 5 fish total for weigh in. A ONE day , 6 hour period is the tournament, and if its on the weekend you have to choose what day it will be and thats the day that counts. We don't want people to go out and get skunked, and then decide THAT day won't count, and do it another day. The purpose of this tournie is to ease young anglers into tournament rules, its also a learning experience.. |
