Today, Sunday May 4, 2008, I went fishing off the damn here in Lake Casablanca. In actuality, I went to catch some crappie, but ended up catching a whole lot of blue gill and bass. I was using a small jig (crappie jig) and was fishing it off of tree stumps and grass beds. I caught 5 bass ranging from 5in to 9in. (small but fun to catch with a small rod and low lb test line!) I caught about 6 bluegill, I could have caught a whole lot more but I had to leave. I also got a lot of bites, but was not able to hook them (couple might have been crappie bites). All in all, I had a good time with my dad and uncle. Hopefully it will be better when we get out there on the boat (could not today, we were short on time). I will keep you informed on how things go around here. I might go again on sunday, god willing, and take the boat!
