they're not biting...any suggestions?

the bass in the lake i fish for the past week havent been biting i caught on on chatterbait yesterday thats it... usally all i have to do is cast a rubber worm under a limb thats hanging over and let it sink and jus twitch it and really slowly real it but i tried every thing yesterday chatterbaits, jigs , spinners, white mepp, every color worm i had, topwater, cranks , bluegill and still nothing......any suggestions??

Just a guess, but what structure were you fishing or in other words, where? Fish relate to different types of structure in different seasons and usally don't stay in the same areas for more than half a day unless deep.

The challenge of finding fish is finding where they hangout and then figuring out what to cast. Structure comes in all types and dictates the lures you'll want to search with, but one thing usually gives you a clue, namely, are they chasing (ie chatterbait or crankbait), on a hard bottom waiting for something to drop ro or crawl on bottom (ie jig or grub) or mid-depth, looking up for whatever may be swimming on or near the surface.

If there is no definite pattern of structure types, you're forced to cast to heavy cover and hope for the reflex strike. Unless you see fish breaking on the surface in open water, the bottom is the place to be. The best lures I can think of for tough conditions are soft plastics, tubes or jigs/trailers.

Just my opinion, having been in your situation many times.
