Default Urbanna Oyster Fest Report

Arrived late Thursday night and enjoyed my first of many Martin's

Next morning with light tackle and some beetle spins we catch a few stripers from dock.

Yep beetle spins caught two striper and about twenty big fat white perch..

So it is off to to the Oyster Fest and first up was raw oysters.

Next steamed oysters.

Next turkey legs and fried Oysters..

Listened to some classic rock.. and ate ribbon fries, oyster stew, oysters rockafeller, fried twinkie, cheesecake on a stick, more fried osters and a shrimp loaf.

On the way out saw this sign and noticed the finger pointing down.. Wonder why??

Another band plays some Bonnie Rate real well. One of three stages set up.

As I wobble across the bridge over Urbanna Creek back to parking area. Mind you 10 bucks for parking and 70k cars will park there over two days. I wonder why they even bother to plant corn in those fields???

So I had a great time and recommend you take a Friday off of work and go next year. They had about 5k people on Friday and 70K people on Saturday. Beer is allowed in cups only..
Your roving fisherman report..
