Default Rod Monkey - A Good Day!

Well me and Cavs headed down to the tackle shop about an hour away today, and was able to meet Bill Lowen from the Elite Series. He was a great guy and was very outgoing and talkitive... a joy to meet.

After browsing some, I picked up a few odds and ends plastics and terminal stuff, and then asked if they would match the Quantum PT Superlite Rods from Cabela's and they told me sure. These rods were $229 each regular price, and they price matched them down to 79.99, and then had a bucket sale in the fishing department, and taking an extra 20% off anything that filled a 5 gallon bucket. So got these PT Superlite Rods for $64 each out the door.

I picked up a 6'9" MH Fast Action Casting, and a 7' MH Fast Action Casting Rod. Those rods regular price would have been $460 but I got them for $128!! It was a great day.

Ryan

Sweet Ryan! Sounds like a good day man. I was looking at maybe getting that rod, but I think I'm gonna a different rod.

Let me know how you like it though!

Well, I had a chance to fish them, and I liked them so well, I made the hour long drive back to the shop this morning, and picked up two more of these rods. This time a 7' Medium Spinning Rod for dropshotting, and a 7'4" MH Rod for Flippin...

Fin Feather & Fur in Ashalnd, OH..... it is Southeast of my house and about an hour drive for me, so you guys would prob. be looking at about 2 hours or so. It is a very nice shop with a lot of tackle, and lots of great deals!

I figured it was the opposite direction of me. Good thing too, I don't think my wallet could take it!
