Justified! It is amazing how kids (and I'm speaking as a dad) can be so ungrateful for all that they have.

I don't have a gun so I couldn't have done that, but I might have used my hammer.

I would have used an identical fake laptop and kept the real one.

Raising kids is not as easy as non-parental adults may think.
Being the tight wad I am, I think I would of sold it and bought a 'Brand new Bic Pen' for the daughter to assist here with her NEW RESPOSNIBLITIES!

The rest would obviously go towards my monkey fund!

My boy once complained about doing dishes.
I totally agreed with him and put an end to his doing the dishes immediately. I mean a kid shouldn't have to help out.
Two days later he volunteered to do the dishes with an apology to boot.

Oh, I should mention that the next day his breakfast was served on LAST nights dirty dish followed by lunch and dinner on the same plate. (unwashed of course

)
We did have a built in dish washer that came with the house. I explained to him that he could use it once he decided to HELP with the electricity bill.
The dish washer never got used by anyone, me included.
My boy never got an allowance for HELPING out. But he never recieved a BILL for dinner either.

If you want......You work! Simple as that.

Parents enjoy the stuggles....some times it may seem like that's all there is.

this is what parents should do. while i DO think he probably shouldn't have destroyed the computer. i would have sold it and used the moeny for a new fish finder, hahaha. but i think that parents today are WAAAYYYY to soft on kids. did ya'll read the comments? some of these "parents" were saying he did the wrong thing. one couldn't even SPELL ( not even as good as ME,LOL!). responded in text english. i hate that. even though i can't spell a lot of things correctly, i try.

all in all he did the right thing. his daughter is probably gonna be embarrassed for quiet a while, but like i say....you make your own bed, lay in it. want it changed? do it yourself with DEEDS. not words.

I swear 90% of the kids today are just useless. They want everything done for them and they'll suffer for it in the long run. And so will the taxpayers who will most likely end up supporting them
