Ron posted this on Facebook about 12 hours ago -- "A 3.9, 3.2, 2@3lbs caught by Don and 2.5, caught by Adam."

I haven't seen any photographic evidence of fish yet, however.

That's a pretty good stringer, pictures or no. Sounds like Don is doing good.

Cant wait for the photoshop wonders or the hold way out towards the camera act.
Hold near body either across or up and down get 12 signatures documenting catch on certified scales then and only then will I(we) believe half of it.The other half you can enlarge as you wish since not believable.Like it was an 11 1/2 pd brown fish, bowfin and gar are brown also.
While there ENJOY

A predawn pic that I captured as I was idling my way through the marina on Day 1.

Day 1 was a very tough day of fishing for me. I covered quite a bit of water, from the Lower End all the way up to the Mid Lake Kemper Flats. I did manage to catch a couple of fish, one dink smallmouth and a rockbass, all on the Big Hammer swimbaits. It wasn't much to show, but at least I got rid of the skunk and was able to enjoy some good weather on the Hollow.

Another lake pic from Day 1.

I will post more later. And yes, the fishing got much better.

I want to hear about the houseboat. Was it chained to the dock the entire time, or did it get taken out on the lake? How comfortable was it? Etc.

houseboat where docked all the time. if we took them out that would have cost another 800 damage desposit fee plus fuel would have been 5.oo per gal.. they where very nice ea was 4 bed room plus pull out. air and heat. fully stocked kitchen. best part no one had to walk more than 100 feet or so to boat slip. service was outstanding if you needed anything they where jonny on the spot. even let me use there crock pot as i forgot mine . the are doing a major overhaul on marina. new slips. bar and resturant on dock. obout another 3 years to complete but it willbe grea be one of the nicest marina on dale hallow when done. be great for you bruce you could take most of yor family with you. and yak about anywhere you wanted.

This pic shows the two 64ft. houseboats that we stayed at.

Oh and that's Adam single handedly keeping Captain Ron and his houseboat from leaving the dock.

Friday, Day 2 turned out to be my best day on Dale . I was able to put 4 smallies and 1 spot in the boat, for a total of 5 fish.

All my fish were caught on the swimbait by fishing them very slowly along the bottom of the lake near the shoreline, targeting a certain type of bank.

l

Every one of these fish pulled really hard and were a ton of fun to catch.

Overcast with lite rain, temps low 70s, 15 - 25 mph NW winds

Sometimes I would have to take 2 or 3 pics to take a good selfie.

Congratulations Adam for catching the biggest fish, with your 4+lber green fish.

Here's a pic from Day 3. I was able to catch two brownfish, here's a pic of my biggest fish of the trip. It was a 18.5 inch smallmouth that scaled at 3.5 lbs. She felt really good on the end of my line!

Here's another pic of the same fish.
