Default Got my Wreckin stix

Found a Denny Brauer Wreckin stix on another site. The one with the golf grip handle. It's the swimbait model. I will use it for light swimbaits and horny toads. It came today. This rod is sweet. It weighs 6 oz but doesn't feel that heavy. I can now launch the swimbaits and toads and not worry about the rod flying away. This rod has a unique hook holder I think. At the tip of the trigger there is a hole with a ring inside of it as there is no holder on the blank.
I can't wait till spring to try it out.

Congrats Bob! I'm very curious to know how you like the golf club grip after you get to use it for awhile. I've thought about going to a golf store and buying a set or 2 to try to use on a build. American Rodsmith makes a nice stick, I'm sure you will love it!

I have an American Rodsmith rod with the same style keeper on it. I like it just had to be sanded around it because of a burr kept making my finger sore.

Sounds good Bob! Bet it'll be a pretty dang rod for what you're using it for! Those rods have always looked interesting to me...

Congrats on the new rod Bob! Sounds like a beaut. And tell ya what bud. If you want to send it to me I'll make sure it gets broken in correctly for ya. I'm known as the "Rod Whisperer" around these parts.
