Default YUM or Berkley GULP! ALIVE

Which one do you guys think is better? YUM L.V.P. (live prey technology) or Berkley Gulp ALIVE? I honestly think that YUM is better because I catch lots of fish with it but then again Berkley has that fish attractant that can "renew" the lure. But I haven't tried it so don't know if it is worth it. I have come to trust YUM a lot so I'm probably just going to stick with that but I'm just curious does the Gulp ALIVE stuff really work?

I've not tried the ALIVE!, and have used the GULP stuff with middlin' success, but I will say this; That GULP stuff is nasty! Close attention must be paid to storage (keep in original bag or similar at ALL times.) Also, leaving a GULP lure rigged and exposed to air as you fish other lures will result in a stiff and useless piece of crud dangling from the rod tip.

I only use three (mainly) brands of plastics: Yum, Berkley Powerbait, and Zoom. They have about all the bait styles you could need... As for the Gulp, i too have not liked it, and it dries up very fast.

same here the only thing i have used gulp for is drop shotting and then only the 3 inch minnow great for a dropshot bait but other than that stick with zoom or yum or powerbait for worms and grubs

I've tried the Gulp spray with no noticeable improvement. I threw what was left in my spray bottle away yesterday, in fact. I have not tried the Gulp baits.

Personally, Yum uses way too much salt for my liking. I try to stick with about half a dozen plastic brands.

1) Yamamoto
2) Zoom
3) Nemesis
4) Berkley
5) Cabela's

I also like the occasional off-brand, but these are my "Go-To's".

Although I use just about everything YUM and Powerbait get most of my attention. But when im roaming at basspro anything that catches my eye goes into the basket. I almost always am fishing soft plastics or a jig I say 85 % of the time ...I love me some creature baits .
