Default BPS Carbon Black reels

I'm looking at the new 2012 BPS catalog and I don't see the Carbon Black casting reels anymore. Were they discontinued? They show what appears to be an updated version of the older Carbonlite with a lot of the same specs of the Carbon Black. It looks to me as though the new Carbonlite is a hybred of the two reels. If the Carbon Black was discontinued and they have a clearence sale on them this spring I hope to be able to pick up a couple of them. The Carbon Black casting reel I bought last year has proven to be a really great reel so far!

I think you are correct in that they made a hybrid with them. It seems they realized that they had far to many reels at close to the same price point in the last several years. This year it looks like they kept the best sellers and made improvments to the other by combining features into less reels
