Default Whent to BPS

So I go there for 2 cycle oil and a few lures - And I end up with a new reel and rod and oil- no lures.
The rod is a 7' MH vandetta, witch I put a advantage hsta on. The reel is the new carbonlite, Dont know much about it other than the guy there said they cant keep them in stock. He was getting ready to put out for display when I was talking to him, so I told him to leave it in the box. It seems to be a nice reel, but feels toyish compared to the daiwa. The daiwa is a chuck. I put the carbonlite on a vengence rod. Sorry for the cell phone pics-

Carbonlite is the replacement for their Pro Finesse series. I own two pro finesse reels and one pro finesse rod. The other reel is mounted on one of their micro-lite rods. They are champs with light line. I have 6 LB on both.

So you think I should spool the carbonlite with a 8 or 6 and put it on Medium rod (I have a HMX 6'6" m with no reel on it)? Just asking BC I am new to this.
