Very nice fish, have you ever looked into replica mounts, best of both worlds.

No I haven't tavery. I won't mount another in less its a 9 or better. I've kept 2 others in the past 3 years and they are on my wall. Is it any cheaper than a trad. mount?

It's my understanding that replicas aren't any cheaper, maybe even a little more money. But they are supposed to hold up better and will still look good after a regular mount will start looking shabby. I have a mount that I had done several years ago before replicas were really well known and it still looks good so I can't say how big of a difference they make other than at the end of the day the fish is still swimming. But I am not trying to rain on your party........Congrats on catching that big girl!

Cotton, came from Stockton lake. Thanks c rig for the info. I don't have a problem shooting a deer and mounting it and feel the same about fish. I think as long as you only keep true trophies in your mind then its cool.
BBD, I caught her on a homemade wooden crank. Square bill that runs in 6-8 deep. Color was a yellow with brown top. I can try and post some pics tomm. if you want to see one. Actually sold some at the ramp today after a guy saw me smashing them and he couldn't get bit. Let me know if care to see some pics.

Dude I am impressed, Stockton kicks my tail on a regular basis. We should hook up and run around on Stockton sometime, my wifes parents have a camper at Mutton Creek so we go up there and stay with them a few weekends out of the summer.

Have you gave any thought to coming to the get together we are having on Grand?

C-rig I didn't know about the grand deal. I'll read up on it. Stockton is one of my fav. places to fish. When the fish pull up the sight fishing in that clear water is great.

Here are some threads for you to read about the Grand Lake get together. It would be great if you could make it but I know it's late notice.
