Default Daiwa Tierra or a BPS ProLite?

I'm torn between two reels. If you could have either for $70, which would you get? The ProLite are the new ones that BPS had for like a week (the reel is new) or a Tierra that's been used 6 or 7 times (9/10 condition).

I know I am selling a Prolite on the forum, but I am not pushing one way or the other...

The two reels are meant for two different kinds of use... the Prolite is meant to be a finesse reel, while the Tierra is meant to handle heavier line and lures. I am not saying that both reels won't handle finesse and bigger lines and baits, but they each do their own thing a little differently. It is all what you need the reel for. Is your intended use throwing smaller, lighter baits or is it to be used for big spinnerbaits, crankbaits, or pitching and flipping.

Charlie, I have 2 Tierras and I love'm. If you can get one for $70.00 you better jump on it. One of mine has boat rash from hell and I wouldn't 70 bucks for it. but either reel would do you good--you can't go wrong

It depends on what you want the reel to do. The tierra is probably the better deal, if it's in nice shape, when you look at price alone. However, after tearing mine down, I would say the prolite was worth at least twice the price. The tierra is not a good choice for small light baits and the prolite is not a good choice for large baits. Just get them both.
