Default Yard Sale

Last weekend I was on my way home from a run to the store when I noticed a yard sale, I almost never stop at one of these but I noticed a few rod and reels leaned against a table, and that was all it took. I parked the car and walked up the drive to find a bunch of very beat up low end rod and reels that did not interest me much. I was about to leave when the lady asked me if I had seen the tackle box, under the table, I replied no so she opened it for me. There were allot of old baits in this box, lots of them in very bad shape, but there were many that were in still in very good to almost new shape. I dug through the box and managed to find a few that I wanted.

I got these three baits for $9 dollars. I was happy, she was happy, so it was a good deal for both of us. What do you think?

The one Poes crankbait has a different color on both sides, thought it was kinda cool, not sure if this was a factory mistake, or if this is how they were actually meant be produced.

I Love Poe's plugs. Did you clean them up and replace the rear treble on the Rico or is this how you found them?

I wiped them down with a little windex, other than that, this is how I got them.

BAD DEAL TAVS................send em to me so oyu don't feel bad ok? hahaha!!!

that different color on the poes is from fading i'd wager. never seen a poes come factory like that. nice little pack of you got there for real. i love yard sales for jsut this type of find. lisa hates it when they have the "WORLDS LONGEST YARD SALE" HERE. I STOP AT EVERY ONE THAT HAS A GROUP OF RODS ON IT. CAUSE WHERE THERE ARE RODS, THERE ARE REELS, AND BAITS.

Think I might hold on to these Bama, the Poes is def. not faded, I am 100% sure that it was painted this way, just can't seem to find any info about it. I am not sure that the Rico is authentic either, the logo is different than what they use today, but it does look similar to the older Rico logo.

I think you got a heck of a deal. I don't know anything about Poe's crankbait colors but I know Bandit has a pattern called "Mistake" that has different colors on each side. It could be something similar.

Can't tell from the picture but it looks like the one side may have been hit with a yellow highligter marker.

I know it is hard to tell from the picture but I am 100% sure that this is the way this was painted from the factory.

Rio RICO....the bigger of the two RICO's. Nice find. Looks like the Poe's 400's are in nice condition too. I prefer the older 300's though.

New Rio will run you $20. The Poe's $5 ea. or more. Not a bad deal.

I was going to mention the Bandit Mistake pattern as well. May or may not be the same deal but I would bet it was done on purpose.

Either way that is a good deal. If I could find fishing stuff at garage sales I would be more than happy to go to them. But I never find anything useful so......

Kory and I must visit the same garage sales.

All I ever find is a corner full of banged up Zebcos and Shakespeares.

Ah tail end of the worlds largest yard sale is in bama.
Hudson, MI, south to Chattanooga, TN, then switches to the Lookout Mountain Parkway, continuing to Gadsden, AL for a total of 654 miles!.
Basic rt 127 till the parkway
And that is a rico not a copy just older version, mistake pattern from bandit is normal but not on a poes, most likly a mistake that wasnt caught and would be considered collectable(suggest you dont fish with it).
