Got 2 that are probably pretty expensive if you re-figure what the would have cost in today's money. Both are garcia reels, with one having a lighting rod and the other has a rod i couldn't tell you waht it cost cause it was given to me. At the time i bought the first reel, it cost 125 bucks (1980) the other reel was a present from my father and the second generation of the same reel. Still use em both.

Dang! Wish I had a popup camper! As for rod/reel combos... since I fish rivers a lot in my kayak and I'm so close to the water, the risk is higher to lose equipment. So far I've been lucky... one of my rods fell out once, but I was able to find it in the shallow water.
I love the Bass Pro Extremes... Combo goes for about $125 on sale. For me, its the best buy for the money.

I have used the Cumulus rod in the last week and the rod is every bit as sensitive as my GLX. The weight of the rod is only 2.75 ounces with the Core50MG attached to the rod weights only 8.25 ounces which is as light as some reels.
