Type it in in the search and search this site for previous posts on how to rig them. There has been many recent posts on horny toads.

Try these hooks, I think they are great.

Here is how to rig them.

You can also Carolina rig these for working shallow structure. I've had a lot of success with frogs running just above shallow grass at 2-4 feet depth.

Welcome to the forum, 55!

Most rig/fish them like F4L shows, but I have a buddy who uses them as a jig trailer. I thought he was nuts until he started catching fish on it.

F4L, I've been C-rigging a lot more recently-had success with Sweet Beavers and Yum Dingers.

Sweet Beavers are nice but I think the Ugly Otters by Gambler are a lot better. They have more action because of the rounded paddles.

not a chance in hell i tried them they suck. they will hang up every other cast. the barb is ok but the hook size is huge..the big diamater hook makes getting a hook set with even a x-heavy rod very tough.. nah man you want to use a 4/0-5/0 ewg hook.. the 4/0 in very heavy thick grass. lilly's and hydrilla you can get away with a 5/0..trust me i have caught over 100 fish on a frog rigged this way, this year alone and it's only june..

think about it.. ever see a real frog sitting in deep water?? frogs have a light skin and fragile bone struture..water pressure would crush them like a pop can..a frog has to breath air..so a surface to about 3 feet down is as far as they would get..
