I have had the best luck in numerous lakes with either 7 or 10 inch watermelon/red flake with about 1 inch of the tail dipped in chartreuse garlic scent "Dip-It". It does not seem to matter which brand of worm, as long as it is that color.

Watermelon/red flake is a good color for almost any situation it does almost as well as junebug or blue fleck for me .

watermelon/red glitter

i fish them weightless......almost

i rig the worm so it has a horazontal fall, then add a very small piece of finishing nail or brad in the skin off to one side, but even with the hook point......on the fall it makes the worm waggle from side to side, turning on and off the flashes from the bits of glitter. The closer to the hook, the tighter the wiggle, out to the side, a wider and slower wiggle. Used for slow fall and deadsticking presentations. have to tinker with each worm style to find the balance point.

I like using white, green with red flake, and green pumkin. Mostly white though, they kill where I fish.
