Default It has potential

I am going to post this now and probably jinx myself into a skunk. Tomorrow has the potential to be one of the better fishing days I have had in a while.

Pond fishing from sunrise till 8:30.

Hitting up a local lake from 9-3 while my son plays paint ball at the paintball park on the same propery. 4000 lbs of nebraska rainbow stocked in this lake on Wednesday this week. Time to breakout the big swim baits for the bass.

Meeting up with friends to go after the giant squid at 9 pm. There are reports of the bigger boats landing 75-100 squid between 10pm and 1am. The biggest are coming in around 70 lbs.

I love catching bass, but a 50 lbs squid 350 foot deep is an amazing creature to try and land. Got two last time I went with the largest being 41 lbs. My arms were burning for two days.

73 here tomorrow with a full moon during squid night. I know that the moon doesn't matter at 300 foot, but it helps me see better.

Sounds like a blast! Hope you get them on all three trips! I've got a buddy squiding tomorrow too, you're probably headed out on the same boat. I'm headed to one of my local lakes to throw the big baits tommorrow as well, who knows, it might be my day too!

0-2 so far....
The guy who can get me into the pond played a little too hard last night and didn't make it out to fish. I considered jumping the gate but decided that it was best to just go and prep for the lake.

The lake wouldn't rent boats today due to high winds. Shore fishing wasn't an option because the trout guys had the shoreline packed.

Now I am just counting down hours till Squid time.
