Default Gander Baitcaster

I bought a gander mtn classic baitcaster about 2 weeks ago and today i was fishing and when i was casting softly it would make a loud noise but when i would cast hard it was fine. This is the 6th or 7th time i have used it and the first time this has happened. any input would be great and thanks ahead of time.

how loud of a noise was it ? and was it a grinding noise ? you could try to clean and lube it or just bring it back and get a new one . and welcome to the site .
