Installed optics on the AR
I installed optics on the recent purchase. The iron sights were ok, but I wanted to be more precise in my shot placement. It's a package of Burris products. The scope is a bit more than I wanted but the price on the package was RIGHT so I took it. It's a 4.5 - 14 power, ballistic reticle that covers 100 - 500 yards. The Burris red dot sits on top for close targets. It's all attached via a Burris quick disconnect mount that will allow me to also use the iron sights when I want. I also added a bi-pod to stabilize the rifle without sand bagging it.
Probably get to shoot it on Thursday, I can't wait. |

Very cool! It's nice to have the option of the magnified scope and the red dot. They are both great for different things. There is nothing more fun than running through a 30 rnd mag as fast as you can on target.
