Country Music
I've been listening to country music my whole life. I listen to a little of everything, but country more than anything else. Most of my favorites are people that have been around for a while. It's not very often that I hear of someone new and get REALLY excited about them. About a year ago Jamey Johnson came out with "In Color". When I looked him up, I realized he's the one that did that song "The Dollar" a couple of years ago. Man, what a voice. I have a bunch of his music now. If you haven't heard it, and you like country, real country (not the new age carrie underwood bull****) do yourself a favor and look him up.

Anyways, I can't stand country, and never could. lol I'll stick to rock, and I mean real rock (not the new age pop stars who think they're rock bull****) BB

I am a oldies rock kinda guy. But still enjoy old country like Myrle Haggard and Johnny Cash.. If the country music is from 1980 and earlier I like it.
But the new stuff is just remakes of old stuff. So prop me up by the jutebox when I am dead. Capt Mike

I'm a metal guy all the way with some lighter rock thrown in . Bands like as i lay dying , august burns red , scar symmetry and the likes if it's not fast and heavy it ain't worth the time . my wife on the other hand listens to country drives me crazy .

Those bands are good. I'm more into Five Finger Death Punch, and the legends...Pantera

I love all music, though rock, metal, and blues is more my thing. Kind of funny to watch the face of people when my cruising cd goes from Ozzy to T-bone, Pantera to Muddy waters, Slayer to BB King.

I know what you mean. My I tunes just went from Otis Redding, to Nickelback, to Johnny Cash, to Jimmy Buffett. God only knows what'll be next.

i am a big jamey johnson fan. like you i heard in color about a year ago and loved it. i actually heard it at about 3:00 in the morning, i couldn't sleep because i was excited about a tournament the next day so i was up messing around on the computer. the song reminded me of my grandpa so much that i went and got my wife out of bed at 3:00 am so she could come and listen to it. i bought the cd as soon as it came out, it is the 2nd cd of his that i have and they both are really good. jamey was actually here in concert a month or so ago but i wasn't able to go because i had a tourney the next day and had too much stuff to do.

I listen to lots of different kinds of music. And I do enjoy country. To be honest, I hate the old fashioned style of country. But Jamie Johnsons music is very good. I really enjoy listening to Collin Raye. Been to several of his concerts. I think he's probably my favorite country singer. He's kinda been out of the picture as of late. Wish he'd come out with some new material. At the opposite end of the country spectrum, I do really like Big N Rich.

Big N Rich are good, I've got a good bit of their stuff on my iTunes. Another good one is Montgomery Gentry...they're really got some good music.
And my apologies to the Carrie Underwood haters, but that girl can SING.

not a huge carrie underwood fan (although i don't mind looking at her) but she is way way way better than taylor swift. every song is about how someone was mean to poor ol taylor. can't stand her.

You wanna hear a girl that can actually sing, AND she doesn't sound like her head is about to explode, check out Ashton Shepherd. She also writes all her own songs. (As opposed to taking a classic randy travis song, murdering it, and defocating on its grave like carrie did)

Gotta run with my 601boy about Carrie. But Taylor Swift makes me want to vomit, especially that live version of her in the rain, whatever song it is. I just can't get it. Other than that, I listen to country when I ride with my wife, and she keeps red hands from trying to touch my radio because we don't in my ride. So needless to say, she drives most of the time. But I like it anyways, and I like Jamey Johnson's stuff, too. But I like older rock and Pantera, too. I have been trying to play "Floods" solo for a few years on guitar, I just think I will stick to the rhythm.

i do think that carrie underwood sounds good singing i told you so. it was a great song when randy travis recorded it and i honestly think that it was a good fit for her as well. other than that i really don't like her music that much.

Im not suggesting that everyone should agree with my view on her, Im just saying its my opinion. Her voice grates my nerves. She sounds VERY strained to me. And, I wasnt trying to say anything negative about Randy Travis. HE is talented.
