Default All Code Saturday

Fished entire trip with fly rods. Landed about 8 LGMouth and the short strikes still continue but not as many as in past trips. It was pleasure to fish with this father and son.

Last night it was Waldorf Hair bugs worked slowly.. The big hair bug looks like a small frog. 8 or 9 wt rod with floating line. Leader is 20lb flouro not real long. Maybe 5 -7 ft at most. They are fished deepin pads and trees.

It requires a good accurate cast and sometimes a double haul for distance. If you suck casting the pads and trees will eat you up and frustrate the heck out of you.

Many a fly fisherman in three hours just gives up. And picks up a spinning rod.

Looks fun! I used to have an old crappy fly rod, and used to use bugs like that, for bass. it's definitely fun stuff!
