What technique or bait do you have the most confidence in?
Of all the different options we anglers have available to us, which is the one you have the most confidence in? You know, the one that you feel will produce when all else fails? For me, it's soft plastics, specifically a 5" green pumpkin stick bait rigged wacky and weedless. In contrast, the bait I have the least confidence in is a spinnerbait. I can't seem to catch a cold with one of those things. That's my focus this year, work on gaining confidence in a spinnerbait.

It's funny you mentioned spinnerbaits. That has become my confidence bait

Spinnerbaits have always been my go to lure which I have the most confidence in. I can always catch fish on those when nothing else will put a fish in the boat. Crankbaits come in second followed closely by frog baits and pitchin soft creature type baits like beavers.

It's very frustrating that I have no success with spinnerbaits. I've caught one bass on one, last summer. I think I may have actually cast into it's mouth while it was unaware. :-) I have yet to repeat that level of precision, but that's the goal this year. I think I might just bring my spinnerbaits and nothing else for a few trips until things improve. Maybe I need to start a spinnerbait advice thread before too long.

#1 Spinnerbaits
#2 wacky rig #3 senko Spinnerbaits around here are more of a seasonal lure though, late February (or at least after the major cold fronts stops) though May or April. But between then, it's like a fish catching bonanza!!

I'd have to say my top three (in no particular order) are t-rigged weightless senkos, the dropshot, and crankbaits.

Pitching a craw type bait or a big worm at cypress trees. Cant seem to catch them on a spinnerbait or a jig though.

The one technique that I have the most confidence in would have to be fishing weightless soft plastics. Particularly Senkos and flukes. I feel pretty comfortable fishing most soft plastic techniques though with the exception of maybe drop shotting, which I haven't fished a whole lot.

the only luck for bass I have had has been live minnows and senko type worms, but I also have not fished any of the larger or "pro circuit" lakes or rivers. The largest lake within an hour of here is 318 Acres, then 2 hours away is Lake Seminole which is a bit far even for a full day fishing trip

I use the owner standups. I have been using the 3/8 oz 3/0 hook. I went to these following a sale and have not had a reason to turn back.

Crankbait, spinnerbait, Horny Toad. If it isn't frog season then #3 would be a weighted plastic creature bait.
