Default Mini Report Thread

I am making this thread for those days that you don't feel are big enough to be a full report. I think that the people, like me, that fish in their neighborhood will like this. I know that I get out for about an hour every day. That isn't enough to make a report out of if I catch a picture fish.

Default South Florida

Let me start it out.

They were hitting well for the time I got out today (which was less than an hour). The fishing is picking up now that the cold fronts passed.

4 fish:
1 peacock on fly
2 largemouth on shad rap
1 largemouth on senko

The other day I caught this 3 pound 1 ounce peacock on an X-Rap.
It fought great!

Today's nice fish. 2 pounds 11 ounces on the 4 weight.
Another awesome fight on the little rod!

Threw my fly rod around my Church Pond for around 30 minutes a pulled a Personal Best on the fly. Came on a fairly large shrimp pattern from BPS.

I broke a 2+ pounder off like that once. I wasn't ready for it to be a big fish. Like somebody else said to me, the little ones will come right to you. The big ones stop the fly and want to run. Were you sight fishing?

Not this guy but I had seen a few others. Really clear water in this retention pond since we haven't had any rain for awhile.

I caught my first snook on fly yesterday morning! Sorry about the background. Good spots are tough to find, and there are some Florida guys on the forum. I also caught six bass later that day. The rod in the pic is not broken.

16 inches

Today, I also caught six largemouths.
Here was the biggest at 2 pounds 2 ounces. It was the best fighting largemouth I have caught in a while.

I caught it in a semi-local canal. Sorry about the spot protection. I trust you guys, but I don't know who the "guests" are that come on. Better to be safe than sorry. The largemouth came in a local canal today and at my grandma's house yesterday.

Good idea. Although I keep maybe 1 a year, so not gonna hurt the population much.

14 today:
8 largemouth on senko (biggest was 1 1/2 pounds)
1 largemouth on x-rap
3 largemouth on fly
1 peacock on fly (1 1/2 pounds)
1 peacock on x-rap

They were small today, but it was still fun. I fished for about an hour and a half. The funny part is, I didn't get to fish where I wanted to. No pictures today.

My friends, including thebassmaster123 decided to bream fish the other day.
He caught two fish over two pounds while I was there. They gave me a bream and I caught a 2 1/2 pound peacock pretty quick. Check out the video I took.

I caught 6 largemouth on senkos and 1 peacock on bait. They caught a few nice largemouth. Thebassmaster123 caught a 5 pounder the next day doing the same thing.

Very cool video.

A cool trick for when videoing fish is to get a cheap pair of polarized sunglasses and taping a lens over the video cameras lens. It works pretty well.

I caught 8 today:
1 peacock on x-rap
2 peacock on fly
5 largemouth on senko

The peacocks came in the middle of the day, with an awesome bite from the biggest one at 2 pounds 9 ounces on the x-rap. I caught the largemouth after coming home from a 5:00 mass at church. When I set the hook on the first largemouth, I knew it was good. Sorry again about the background.

4 pounds 8 ounces
