Default Revo Premier

The monkey has been beating me up lately, and I gave in a purchased a couple of new reels. The Revo Premier is very light, incredibly smooth and has an excellent drag.

Well of course I could not leave well enough alone, so I went to work on these reels, while the drag was good and very smooth I went ahead and made it a wet drag with the addition of some Cal's drag grease, flushed the bearings until they were spoltless and lubed them with yellow rocket fuel, changed the handles to a carbon fiber model and changed the nuts to one that has a touch of gold on it.

I am very pleased with the way these reel both cast, retrieve and fish, they are very light and are a pleasure to use.

Tavery buddy. I would like to offer my services to you and let me break those reels in for ya. Once I'm sure they are working to perfection I'll be sure to return them to you, fully ready to perform to your liking!

Wow! They look real perdy with the carbon fiber handles. Sweet reels right there!

Thank You, I have always liked the way the Pflueger Patriarch XT looks with the CF handle and thought that this is the way ABU should have released these reels.

Thank you, I was able to pick the Premier's up at a good price, they fish as nice as any reel I have ever used, and they are very light. I have the new STX also and wondered if the extra money for the Premier was worth it. In my eyes it was money well spent.

Awesome reels that will not dissapoint. The lightest aluminum reel out there I believe.

Those look awesome Tony. In my opinion the difference between the STX and the Premier is way bigger than between the SX and the STX. I have used several Premiers and they are a great reel, as is every reel in the Revo lineup. I am loving those handles too.

Using the premier knobs on the lews carbon handles makes an awesome look for that reel. It's cool that it was a perfect fit. We need to do some checking and see if we can get those components at a decent price.
