Default Little Fish from Erie

I know you guys down south and out west have big 10+ lb bass, so I thought I'd show you guys the little fish we've got up here.

This fish weighed in at over 1,000lbs. it was 11'1" by 56". It took 6 and a half hours, a lot of beer, and 4 guys taking turns reeling to get it in.

In Erie, lake sturgeon are an endangered species, so you have to let them go. This was caugh ton the Ontario side, and up there, if the fish weighs over 50lb (I think) it may not leave the water.

I saw a similar story with the same picture and they said it was caught out of the Columbia River in Oregon.

im pretty sure you are correct, bama. Read it in Times a long time ago... but nevertheless, most caviar from most fish is expensive... besides the red kind that goes like 7 bucks a jar, but i dont know what that is.

Beluga caviar is more expensive, I think, but don't quote me on that. I've never eaten either one, and I sure haven't bought any.

I have had catfish caviar, though...

The Caspian and Black Sea I believe has the most expensive caviar. Personally, that looks nasty..

Technically, only the eggs of Sturgeon are called caviar. I believe the rest is called roe.
