I have never used one but if you want one now's the time to buy. Cabela's and a couple of other places have them really cheap right now. I think Tackle Warehouse is the other place that has them cheap.

I really like my Energy PT. I will be getting a Tour Edition in the next day or 2. Can't wait to give it a whirl!

I recently switched to those and already have six. I can't say enough about how much they rock! I like both of them and really can't tell a difference between the energies and the tours. They're suuuper smooth and cast great. They're very durable and solid. If you've got large hands you will looove them.

Yea as Zook said the paint does come off easily, but the internal parts are fine.

Thumbs up PT Reels

Cabelas has them for sale on-line in the Bargain Cave, $129.99 and the Energy PT for $99.99. I have 2 of the TourPT Burners and I love them. bigbasser

I haven't had the paint come off at all, but the plastic (or whatever it is) coating on the magnetic brakes adjustment knob will wear down and peel. Is that what you're talking about? I've seen the actual color/paint come off of the older reels.
