Default You know you are a bass fisherman when...

It becomes automatic. This afternoon I mowed the yard-hopefully for the last time this year. I was coiling up the extension cord-I have 2 joined together-when the plugs bumped off a brick border we have around the front porch. It felt just like a hard thump on a worm or jig, and without even thinking my hands moved into position to set the hook-the right moved like it does when you lower the rod tip and my left hand was grabbing for the reel handle. I came REAL close to trying to set the hook. It took me a second to realize I was holding an extension cord and not a bass rod!
