Prefishing Detroit River Everstart
I went out with SD to fish while he prefished for the upcoming Detroit Everstart next week.
All in all, he caught 18 - 19 pounds. He believes it will take a 20+ pound bag each day to win which has been typical of this Northern Everstart Trail this year. I wish I could show all of the photos, but these guys have their spots and they dont want to give landmarks away with points, a new boat and cash on the line next week. If you ever have an opportunity to fish with a pro, take it!!!! IT is truely a humbling experience. This is one of my "Non-Landmarked" fish. I caught it on a Cabela's Tube with just a tip into the CB sauce. This fish crumpled the bait! Not a giant, but a powerhouse pound for pound. I also caught some small ones on my babybass BassDevil Crank. Slightly bigger than dinks... two came off and one shows a dock landmark SD does not want to give away. LROD... I was using the Kistler during the day! Just did not make this shot. Weather: Air: 68 F. Water: 70 F. Sustained 20 MPH winds Cloudy 2 -3 rolling seas All Day Rain If you dress right and keep your balance on the deck.... Its not terrible fishing. I did accidentally kick one of my $130.00 Pflueger Presidents attached to a Cabelas $130.00 rod into the drink today!!! ARG ... Thats sucked for lack of a better expression, but I stopped at Bass Pro on the way home and replaced it... Helped with the pain . I hope to go out again Sunday! Great Day!! Chip |
