Default Lookin for new Topwaters

I'm looking for a new and interesting topwater. All of the old standbyes work well, but the baitmonkey must be fed.

I'm not sure, but have you ever tried this one:

I think it is a kind interesting design, but never have chance to try it.

There is a review on Tackletour.com:

my personal favorite to fish for HAWGS!

Even bought an Alvey reel, and 7.5ft Heavy Rod, going to spool it up with some 20lbs power pro to cast this bad boy 4 country miles....not just one, 4.

They have plenty of other topwaters for the dinks if you want to catch numbers.

you're asking for your cake and eating it too. Because of the aggressive nature of dinks, and the wary nature of HAWGS, its best to target one or the other.

Using a pencil soldering iron to weld the pieces together, start by cutting off the head and tail of a lizard..... Clip off a little of the head and tail of a zoom trick worm and weld the lizard head and tail on......you get a sizeable snake which will sink slowly when allowed to do so, but with the rod tip up, will swim nicely on top. The head and tail do not have to match the body color. I recently made one with a pumpkin green head and tail, a kudzu body with white and green glitter and then took a marker in black and added black sections in the body area.

Had a bass tail smack a snake the other day and then let the snake die.....pulled to set the hook just a tad early and felt the snake pull free. Huge swirl boiled the top. That particular snake had a red cherry seed head and tail with a grasshopper colored body.

Another option....replace a lizard tail with a zoom speedworm tail...mounted vertically with the hook pointing down. Makes a topwater buzzbait tailed lizard which also throbs when allowed to sink and is pulled underwater as well. Be sure to leave about a half inch of the speedworm body attached to the tail piece to allow for flexability when you replace lizard tails.

I found that the Matzu Popr Type bait I think it is called the Spit n Spirt but not sure in Fire tiger is one of my most productive Popr biat I use. Spooks in and the Zara Puppy work good for me too. Buzzbiat in Chart, White, or Chart/white are great topwater also.
