Old Md records ...
Bass, Largemouth 11 lbs., 2 ozRodney Cockrell10/04/83Farm PondBass,
Smallmouth 8 lbs., 4 ozGary Peters10/04/74 Liberty Reservoir How long are these things going too be around for? I mean the sm record is 34 yrs old and the lm 25 yrs old This just blows my mind considering ive seen at least a 6lb sm at prettyboy reservoir I know there out there you just gotta find em. Does this upset any of you other maryland anglers ?

Md has a strange record system due to the Potomac river and Bay tributaries. The largemouth caught on the river this year beat the record. An 8lb 4oz smallie is a nice fish.

Michigan's State Record LM is from 1934!!! and was 11.94 lbs.
The SM bass, 1906!!! and was 9.25. That SM record will be beaten soon I am sure. |

Pa is 12 and some change also. There is a pic of a 13 plus that was caught but never verified as the record. Not sure on the smallie record. I think both will be beaten. I think the new lge.mouth will come on my swimbait. lol

jim the record LM is 12# 14oz for largemouth and have you ever fished where it came out of ?? i was there last sunday and holy crap the water is rediculasly clear.. the record smallmouth came out of a lake in my town that the ct water company owns so im sure theres another record smallie in there but its restricted to shore fishing and some canoes are allowed on there but its hard to get on that list..
