Default Just watched a segment on InFisherman regarding red:

Red hooks, red line, etc. They talked about red line disappearing (according to researchers at Berkley it doesn't, but is less visible in muddy/tannic stained water) and red hooks triggering strikes, etc. The question was posed is red a "magic" color and the answer is no. The bottom line was what I kind of thought all along:

If you think using red hooks or red line lets you catch more fish, it does. In other words, it all comes down to one thing. Confidence.

As my buddy Zooker says, 'nuff said.

Heck, I didn't need to read the article, I believed you guys when you said it months ago

Thanks for the confirmation though.

I pretty much go with the flow on this one if it comes with red hooks I keep 'em and replace 'em, when need be, with red.

Simple minded, maybe, but it works for me!

Watched it too, Reb, finally explained it cut-and-dry.

I'm with all you guys though, red hooks, keep 'em; red line, doesn't matter.

I use red hooks on all my crankbaits that I throw often. I only use them on the front trebel though.

I never really though red was that big of a deal. I know red trpas and such are very popular, but the color of a bait is a lot more reasonable than red hooks, red lines. Heck we'd better all go out and buy red rods and reels so the fish don't see 'em too!!
