Default Texas-Rig Or Pig N Jig?

What dictates if you throw a Pig N Jig or a Texas-Rig?

I have always wondered this and wanted to know if one conquered the other in various situations. I find myself constantly throwing the Pig since its been workinbg, but wonder if the Texas-Rig would produce more qualit bites, or vice-versa.

So, what dictates your choosing of one over the other?

Thanks,

-Buzz

I guess I throw jigs more when I am specifically targeting something or flipping into holes in weeds. I prefer the T-rig more for "blind" fishing like on drops, or dragging across flats.

I throw a worm when fishing weeds and jigs when fishing rocks for the most part, but I usually have one of each tied on at any given time.

i like to throw a craw into pads and weeds or a jig with a craw trailer and usually use the worm for flats it's a better searching lure in my eyes .

a worm goes thru grass alot easier than a jig. jigs hang up less in rocks..

I tend to throw the jig more in rocks, texas rig when I'm fishing more through grass, brush, stickups, etc. I almost ALWAYS have both tied on at the same time, and if I get a pickup on one with a missed set, I'll immediately throw the other back to try and and get another crack at him.
