Default Pend Oreille River Idaho

Went out this morning caught some decent smallies, and a couple largemouths took a couple smallmouth home for frying after geting home they all had large tape worms in them coming out of their mouths and gills. They just started treating the lake for millfoil with poision anybody every had tapeworms in their fish and whats causing it ?

Bass can be the target of all kinds of nasty little organisms that live under water. I normally see them with small leeches in and around their mouths. Never seen them with tape worms. Heard about a few that were full of worms when they were cleaned to be eaten.

tape worms attack the reproductive organs of bass. Should have nothing to do with the lake treatment. If you see alot come out of the lake like that might want to let fish and game know there are things they can do to control them in lakes and keep bass healthy
