My wife has that on her iPod, and that's the only way I know that it's "Hakuna Matata."

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Pulp Fiction always seemed like it had a good soundtrack, never actually bought the CD.

Last of the Mohicans was classic though.

Be patient. Bear with me.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_from_Castile_(film)
Sample: I've performed this with various groups many times. Great but deadly trumpet parts, especially on the march!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAXwG...eature=related

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_of_Arabia_(film)
Sample:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE3Ar4iRgqI

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amadeus_(film)
Sample:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcIqZoxV0sA
For dead folks, but gorgeous.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brassed_off_(film)
Samples:
Tara Fitzgerald lip...errrr...finger-synching on the flugelhorn.
No, it's not a pregnant cornet! Actually, the smallest of the tuba family. Mine's for sale if you have a kid in band.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8uoY9e5YVY
Another: Can you say "Hiyo, Silverrrrrr! Awayyyyy"
One of the guys is playing a little Eflat Cornet, higher-pitched than the standard BFlat and quite a challenge. I actually gave mine away when I quit playing. Back pressure can pop your eyes out!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjMWOzeuRiw
One more: For you Irishmen.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6F5vBsY9VZ8
And, the best for last:
I've performed this one many times. A classic Austrian piece.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AxLp-mRIts&NR=1
Note: The few actors didn't actually play but did a great fake. Most of the players you see are members of The Black Dyke Mills Brass Band.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silverado_(film)
Sample: I've performed the lead trumpet part at least five times over the years and it'll sweat ya'. Had to carry my chops out on a stretcher
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_a1snDHj0X4

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_Li...xas_Soundtrack
One of my favorite movies, mixing Hollywood studio musicians with Nashville artists...great! And best of all, in the movie, the Aggies beat the Whorns!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3whU1NMdRxs
I took my mother, dad, and the GF of the moment to see the movie.
So soon as Jim Nabors uttered the opening line Mom nearly excreted a brick.
Here's why:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDqJR43q0qw
And now...THE Song!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zyQKkBryCM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mission_(film)
The first All-Amazon Invitational Bass...errrr...Piranha Tournament Blastoff.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfG_o...eature=related
Another: Nice way to meet new friends and soothe the savage breast: I'd have pewped my pants.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBLbH...eature=related
Intense movie.
Lastly: Sound up at first, OK?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LFkX8PdcBM

And, of course, being an iron horse soldier (emeritus):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhalN-k8g0g
Also: From "Battle Of The Bulge". We used to sing this, in German, in the O Club. Drove the infantry pukes crazy When I marched my company through a small town in Germany singing it we drew a crowd, applause, and free beer. The official German Tankers Song, "Panzerlied". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbHh-VmtL9Y
Achtung!

One more for my branch: Featuring Juan Juayne his own self.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhnDe...eature=related

That concludes today's session of Movie Music Appreciation 101.

I've been privileged to perform all of these tunes, except for music from The
Mission, Best Little house,
and Amadeus and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity.

Lawrence of Arabia is a given, I watched part of it the other day. Another movie directed by Lean, Dr. Zhivago, also has one of the best scores.

Amadeus is kinda obvious. "that mozart fellow was ok"

Very nice! You really have great taste! All of those pieces were fabulous!!

I had to stop in a trace of peacefulness on Danny Boy, very skilled players!
