our brother zooker
well gang, i talked to zooker's mother tonight. and it seems he has taken a turn for the worse right now. she couldn't talk much but said he was so hyped up on morphine he was sleeping like a bear in hibernation. it was clear to me she was very upset. so i didn't keep her long. she just wanted to sit with him alone. so i told her to tell zooker everyone here loved him and was still praying for him. and we were praying for her and the rest of the family as well.
she promised me she would call me later and give a detailed status report on him. as soon as i hear from her, i will relate it here. we gotta hit our knees again and again gang. he needs us now more than ever. i know you all will do oyur part for him. you know i am too.

That's bad news, I was hoping after the last bout he was out of the woods for a while. When you talk to her please let her know that we are all thinking of them and want him to stay strong and keep fighting.

John I hate to hear this. I just got your pm today about calling him, I guess somehow I didn't notice it until today. Anyways we are keeping him in our prayers as always and as soon as he is up to it I will give him a holler.

Zooker is a great man. He's funnier than **** too. I wish him the best and hope he gets through this.
I think this site would be missing something if Zook wasn't here.

I figured something wasn't right when I called and got no return call and e-mailed and he didn't reply. I've been praying a lot for Zooker. I hope he can pull out of this soon.

John just texted me to say that they have Zooker on comfort medication now, just trying to ease the pain. From what John said, they're not expecting him to last very much longer. That's all I can say now...my words don't work right now...

I woke up to see that text. I too was at a loss for words.
Unlike a lot of folks, I have not yet gotten to meet Zooker, that being said, I have always appreciated both his knowledge and his tell it like it is mentality. If I posted a report about getting skunked, and he was the first to say suck it up and get back out there. I once complained about what I considered a crappy speeding ticket. Zook was the one who responded with boohoo, slow down.

This board without Zooker is almost unthinkable. Its just a tragedy. Of course all my prayers are with his family and friends. I guess that includes almost everyone on here.
