For wacky rig, I use a 6'6' M spinning rod, for cranks I'll use a 7'+ M-MH baitcaster (with moderate action), dropshot I use a Shimano Crucial Dropshot rod (7'2" M) and for small worms I use a 7'M or 6'6" MH baitcaster.

As for longer rods, some techniques work better with them, some work better with shorter rods, but for the most part, it is personal preference.

Same here. My favorite jerkbait rod is a 6'6" All Star M. I prefer the shorter rod length because the rod is pointing down towards the water, making for easier twitching movements. This is important to me since I'm fishing from a rowboat and literally standing at the waters height.

I just don't do enough Jerkbaiting throughout the season to warrant purchasing a 6'0"ft rod, but that just may change in a year or so.
