Default Area Lakes/Rivers in the 757

I grew up in the Hampton Roads area, mostly in a jon boat, throwing a bobber, and pulling in whatever was nibbling on the worm/ minnow. I purchased a pt 175 in 2006. Loving just going on the water and wettin a line, listening to a ball game and relaxing, but never really catchin much. I am more and more getting excited about the idea of learing how to fish for Bass. From what i hear, the best option for fishing for bass would be at Western Branch. My son and I have went to Northwest river a few times, but never really had much luck. Does anybody have preferences on which lakes and what works there to help my son land one and gain confidence in this sport?

There are about 6 good lakes to fish with in 15 minutes of your area..

Goto Google maps and look around.. also a ton of tidal creeks..

I have fished the back of those creeks back in the 70's and we got into some nice tidal bass.

Trick was ring worms in purple back then...
