gift idea
do any of you have siruis radio, am giving it to KD for christmas, just wondering if its any good??? Oh yeah, took our daughter fishing saturday 12/16/06 for her 9th birthday, KD fell in the water trying to have a rod and reel, it was funny, he was able to keep one hand on the boat, came up with the rod and had a 17" bass hooked. Water was about 51 degrees, had a great day...

My wife has XM radio, I really like it alot, but where I live, the steep grade hills and trees blocks it out in certain areas. I don't think the cd player has ever been played yet. P N J

I have a ? re Sirius or any other all-music systems. To whit, what if there's a natural disaster, a nuke attack imminent, or something REALLY newsworthy, like the U. of Alabama finally finding someone stupid enough to take the football coaching gig?
Will there be an news bulletin, safety alert, etc, via Sirius or will the band play on, leaving you unaware and blissfully humming along as you hurtle toward a bridge that has collapsed America wants to KNOW! F. Rod |

Pay no attention to the landthief above. He is foolish enough to believe people only started to play football after WWII. How convieeenent...!
Sirius Radio is great, I have it and it has no commercials, very good selection of all types of music, talk and sporting events. The only thing about it is it requires a subscription (like cable, but only 12$), so do realize if you are giving the radio set away you are giving someone something that will cost money to use.

Anyone who drives that much is going to dig Sirius.
